Word is out. On Thursday afternoon, The New York Times released an expose, with five women recalling their experiences being sexually harassed by the comedian. Beforehand, the New York City premiere of his upcoming film, “I Love You, Daddy,” was cancelled, in case the report was “damaging.” And that it was: Now, distributor The Orchard is reconsidering releasing the film — which apparently nods to sexual assault allegations against C.K. and for some reason, Woody Allen — writing in a statement that they are “giving careful consideration to the timing and release of the film.”
Stories of C.K.’s harassment had been humming about for years, with Gawker being one of the first news sites to investigate what some people are calling one of Hollywood’s worst kept secrets. Naturally, people took to Twitter in droves to express their distaste with the “Louie” star. See their reactions, here.
Louis CK’s manager tried to silence the women he abused. I hope the other comics that Dave Becky represents – @KevinHart4real @azizansari Amy Poehler – will say something.

These stories were known even to many average people and Louis CK kept getting treated as normal. https://t.co/FQ4MHzFIgJ

Louis CK is a good reminder that if someone is dogged *for years* with sexual predation rumors, it’s probably because they’re true

I am not joyful. I want all the women he has assaulted to finally be heard. This isn’t a celebration. It’s a reckoning and it has been a long time coming. https://t.co/1ZVnj5Q353

it’s so disappointing to say farewell to my comedic hero, louis ck, the guy who engineers his entire life around cramming the n-word into his overrated comedy routines. I was really rooting for him. an absolute inspiration.

I’ll say it again. Sooner or later, one or more of your faves will be exposed as a bad person. Don’t prioritize your feelings over the trauma victims face.
Yep. It sucks. But it sucks worse for those hurt by the artists we love.
