UPDATE: The Office of Emergency Management canceled a Missing Child Alert for 2-year-old Levi Jennings on Monday.
According to the NYPD, the toddler is in the care of North Carolina Child Protective Services.
Authorities report that New York State Administration for Child Services is coordinating Jennings’ return home.
Thomas Jennings, the toddler’s non-custodial father who is accused of carrying out the abduction, will be charged in New York with custodial interference. He will have to face a judge in North Carolina and waive his extradition rights before being transported back to New York.

Levi Jennings, 2, was reportedly abducted by his father, Thomas Jennings, on Tuesday afternoon in Brooklyn.
Levi was snatched from an apartment on Fulton Street where he was in the care of a babysitter, cops said.
Thomas Jennings is legally barred from having custody of the boy, and in fact has a Stay Away Order of Protection in effect.
Police say Thomas Jennings has violent tendencies and they are concerned for the child’s safety.
