Barack Obama is back — kind of.
The last time many of us had a chance to see the former president was in a short candid video clip of him and former first lady Michelle Obama living the good life onthe British Virgin Islands with billionaire buddy Richard Branson. RELATED: Watch Barack Obama learn how to kitesurf with Richard Branson On Friday, there was a large commotion on Fifth Avenue and it wasn’t a protest against the current president. Instead, former President Obama was spotted exiting a building, flanked by Secret Service agents. Throngs of people gathered to catch a glimpse of the beloved former president and cheer as he exited the building.
Obama was wearing a dark colored suit and was carrying what appeared to be a cup of coffee and a pair of sunglasses.
While it was unclear what brought him to Manhattan, many people expressed their gratitude on social media for having been at the right place at the right time to see the former president.
