The Democratic National Committee’s chairwoman apparently can’t show her face in Philadelphia without being chased by angry Bernie Sanders supporters.
A day after Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced her resignation following leaked emails that showed she and other top DNC officials opposed Sanders’ campaign during the primary race, she decided to speak at a breakfast in Philadelphia for the DNC’s Florida delegation. Instead, Schultz got booed off the stage by Sanders supporters holding signs with the word “E-mails” and who later followed her into the lobby shouting “shame” at her.
“Alright everybody now, settle down,” Schultz told booing protesters as she took the podium to deliver remarks on the race.
Despite the ruckus, Schultz got through her speech — before being met by more shouts from protesters outside the event hall.

Sanders is scheduled to address the convention Monday night.
Schultz lost her slot on the main stage as a speaker after the email leak.
