VIDEO: Man gets struck by stray tire in Brazil

A bizarre video shows a man getting struck by a runaway tire while walking on a sidewalk in Brazil.

The incident was captured on a nearby security camera.

According to RT.com, Roberto Carlos Fernandes, 50, was walking with his daughter when a tire came speeding in his direction, striking him in the back of his head and knocking him to the ground.

The tire may have came from a moving vehicle carrying a trailer, according to the New York Daily News.

Witnesses of the freak accident rushed over to assist Fernandes. Emergency personal eventually arrived to the scene and transported the man to a local hospital.

Fernandes was left with severe fractures to his chest and skull, according to the Daily News.
