Peru’s Flannel moth caterpillar might look like Donald Trump’s hair, but don’t be tempted to touch it or tug at it to see if it’s real.

Megalopygidae is a family of moths that umbrellas 220 species.The Flannel moth caterpillar is the most venomous caterpillarin the United States, according to University of Florida’s entomologydepartment.

Hidden under the soft hair of the adult Flannel moth caterpillar are spines that release venom thatcould cause rashes, blisters and even difficulty breathing,according to Learn about Butterflies. The venomous effects can last up to 12 hours, according to Insects of Guam.
