President Donald Trump announced his plans to temporarily reopen the government which has been shut down for 34 days. The president will deliver his announcement about the government shutdown from the Rose Garden.
According to NBC News officials said Friday that a short-term agreement with congressional leaders could be as short as three weeks and would allow more time for officials to discuss security measures on the southern border.
The president is expected to deliver his remarks from the White House around 2:15 P.M. EST.
