The worst thing about Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel’s breakup is that they no longer make comedy together. (That’s the worst thing from my perspective, anyway. They may have some different priorities about ending a five-year relationship.)
Last night, though, they got back together, comedically if not romantically, and it was kind of great. These two are funnier together than they are apart, as their video “I’m f—ing Matt Damon” proved, and they haven’t lost that spark.
The “Jesus Is Magic” star, who’s promoting her Nov. 23 HBO standup special “Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles,” came out with a box of stuff she announced was Jimmy’s, including fat jeans for the recently slimmed-down Kimmel and a Team Jimmy shirt she claimed nobody wanted. It was a pretty funny take on the awkward banter between exes who run into each other, made even funnier by the way Kimmel, who’s now married, appeared genuinely uncomfortable.
