A troupeof Stormtroopers were the entertainment at last night’s “Star Wars” Episode VIII wrap party,bringing down the house by twerking to Beyonce and doing the Whip/Nae Nae as part of an acrobatic dance medley. Mark Hamill, who hopefully has some lines this time around as Luke Skywalker, postedthevideoonFacebook,saying,”Theseguys(&girls)wereAMAZING!”withthe truly excellenthashtag#TheEmpireShakesItsBooty.
TheStormtrooperswere not actually survivors of the Starkillerbase explosion in “The Force Awakens” on their second careers. They’re a dance group calledBoogie Storm, who gained fame onBritain’s Got Talent.
Filming on Episode 8 won’t officially end until July 22, though it won’t premiere until Dec. 15, 2017. Next up for the franchise is the pre-“A New Hope” story “Rogue One,” which will be released on Dec. 16, 2016.
