The Patriots haven’t had a dominant, deep-threat receiver since trading Randy Moss to the Vikings in October 2010. Four years later, New England could finally be ready to give Tom Brady another Pro Bowl caliber receiver on the outside. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that the Patriots were in on the hunt to make a trade for Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Vincent Jackson. Philadelphia and Seattle are also said to be highly interested in landing Jackson before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday at 4 p.m.. The 31-year-old Jackson is a three-time Pro Bowler and has 25 receptions for 344 yards and two touchdowns in 2014. For his career, he has amassed 7,706 yards of receiving on 447 catches with 54 touchdowns in 10 NFL seasons. Jackson spent the first seven seasons of his pro career in San Diego.
