Wait, this is what Kim and Kanye named their new baby?

So much for those rumors that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were going to wait out the week and see what kind of inspiration struck before naming their newborn son, who arrived on Saturday. Kardashian took to her new website to officially announce the arrival of Saint West, born on Dec. 5, 2015 and coming in at a respectable 8 pounds, 1 ounce.

Yes, you read that right. Saint West. Which fits the rumors that the parents were planning to avoid something map-related like daughter North (even if our money was on Easton). And according toPerez Hilton, they’ve settled on Robert as the middle name to honor Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian. The middle name was left off the official announcement, so that may or may not be true.

So, what do we think of Saint as a first name? It’s not the craziest celebrity baby name — I mean, just look at Jermaine Jackson’s kids’ names — but it still seems sillier than North. And isn’t Saint giving the kid a lot to live up to? That’s a lot of pressure for a newborn. Sure hope he behaves himself.

Also of note: The announcement was preceded by a quartet of emojis that I can only guess are the closest representations available to the four Kardashian-West family members. Because sure, why not?
