A Philadelphia Phillies fan at Thursday’s game caught a foul ball with an amazing display of lightning reflexes and calm parental instinct.
Brian Kucharik and his daughter were in the stands when a foul ball headed his way while he was holding his daughter and a tray of food, 6ABC reported. It looked like a normal fly ball from the outfield,” Kucharik said to MLB.com. “I put my hand up – I’m lefty – so with my right hand, catching the ball was pretty easy.”
Kucharik, who seemed relaxed throughout, dropped some of his food, but not his daughter, while making the catch, MLB.com added. The Phillies provided him with a new basket of fries.
The Phillies had a less impressive night than Kucharik as they went on to lose to Toronto 13-2.
