NEW YORK (AP) — A New York Police Department traffic enforcement vehicle was caught on camera inexplicably slamming into cars over the weekend on a crowded Queens street.
Surveillance video of the chaos on Saturday shows the marked NYPD sedan hitting at least three vehicles on 37th Avenue in Flushing, near the Mets’ Citi Field.
The NYPD says a traffic supervisor was driving and appeared to be disoriented. He’s seen on video getting out the car as another traffic agent walks toward him.
He was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Video of the incident shows the NYPD vehicle ramming the back of a stopped sedan, reversing into an SUV, speeding up and hitting the sedan again and then crashing into a truck.
The NYPD says it’s investigating.
