While this past weekend was the warmest of the season, it was also one that saw several incidents of gun violence.
One person died after a shooting in Dorchester Saturday night on Bailey Street, according to police.A second victim survived with non-life threatening injuries.
On Sunday night, two people sustained gunshot wounds near Washington Street and Columbia Road in Roxbury. One person’s injuries were deemed life-threatening.
Monday saw an officer-involved shooting on Jefferson Street in Lynn. A police officer in Lynn was struck by the suspect’s car, according to reports. There were reports of a shooting on Columbus Avenue in the South End on Monday, but there were no reports of injuries.
In a weekend update on Monday, Boston Police said there were five non-fatal shootings and six non-fatal shootings between Friday morning and Monday morning. Other weekend crime stats, which BPD considers unofficial:
