Weekend, Monday see gun violence in Boston

While this past weekend was the warmest of the season, it was also one that saw several incidents of gun violence.

One person died after a shooting in Dorchester Saturday night on Bailey Street, according to police.A second victim survived with non-life threatening injuries.

On Sunday night, two people sustained gunshot wounds near Washington Street and Columbia Road in Roxbury. One person’s injuries were deemed life-threatening.

Monday saw an officer-involved shooting on Jefferson Street in Lynn. A police officer in Lynn was struck by the suspect’s car, according to reports.

There were reports of a shooting on Columbus Avenue in the South End on Monday, but there were no reports of injuries.

In a weekend update on Monday, Boston Police said there were five non-fatal shootings and six non-fatal shootings between Friday morning and Monday morning.
