J.K. Rowling has never exactly leftHarry Potter fans hungry for more about details about the magical wizarding world. But what everyone’s really wanted is another full-length adventure, and they’re finally going to get one with an eighth book coming outthis summer. The series will officially continue onstage this summer with the two-part play”Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” Tickets to the show, which will be staged in London, sold out immediately, buttoday on Pottermore it was announced that the script would be released as a book. The production centers on Harry’s children andthe new generation of Hogwarts students and is based on a storyco-written by J.K. Rowlingwith,John Tiffany and Jack Thorne, who also adapted it for the stage. It is considered “officially the eighth story in Harry Potter canon.” The first edition of the book will be released after the play’s opening night on July 30 as the Special Rehearsal Edition, containing the script as it will be performed for preview audiences. Once the production is finalized for opening night, a new Definitive Collector’s Edition will replace the book. RELATED: J.K.
