Now that the Super Bowl weekend is over (for another year, at least), the second full weekend of February is rife with all kinds of TV goodies for audiences to check out. So from the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on CBS to the mid-season premiere of AMC’s hugely popular The Walking Dead, here’s what to watch on TV this weekend.
What to watch on TV this weekend
One Day at a Time, Feb. 8 on Netflix
Norman Lear’s reimagining of the TV series of the same name, One Day at a Time, returns to Netflix for season 3 on Friday. Regular cast members Justina Machado, Todd Grinnell, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rita Moreno are all back, but they won’t be alone. Joining them for the next batch of episodes is singer Gloria Estefan, who sings the show’s theme song. Estefan is guest-starring as Moreno’s sister.
PEN15, Feb. 8 on Hulu
Imagine a mashup of Bo Burnham’s celebrated film Eighth Grade and the classic camp comedy Wet Hot American Summer. Chances are what you imagined will be pretty close to Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle‘s quirky coming-of-age comedy series PEN15, which debuts Friday on Hulu. Executive produced by Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island fame, PEN15 sees Erskine and Konkle playing 13-year-old versions of themselves during the year 2000.

61st Annual Grammy Awards, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS
This Sunday night, singer Alicia Keys will host the 2019 Grammy Awards telecast on CBS. Keys and dozens of celebrity presenters, fellow musicians and otherwise, will spend the evening presenting many of the recording academy’s 80 or so trophies to various groups and individuals. And as always, many of the nominees will be on hand to perform selections from their nominated songs or previews of things to come. Kendrick Lamar and Drake lead the pack with eight and seven nominations respectively.

The Walking Dead, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC
AMC’s flagship original series The Walking Dead returns from a brief midseason break with “Adaptation,” the ninth episode of season nine. Written by Corey Reed and directed by Greg Nicotero, the episode sees the surviving community members coming together after Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) departure to deal with an entirely new threat known only as “The Whisperers.”
Patriot Act, Feb. 10 on Netflix
Also returning from a brief hiatus is comedian Hasan Minhaj‘s post-Daily Show program Patriot Act. The topical series, which made headlines over the break with Netflix pulled an episode critical of Saudi Arabia for subscribers in the region, follows along as the comic performs a Last Week Tonight-esque deep dive into various subjects. New episodes will debut every Sunday on the streamer for the foreseeable future.
