Why can’t Lena Dunham catch a damn break?

Lena Dunham is saying words again.

The 30-year-old recently opened up on “Ellen” about how mean people are being to her about losing weight. Mmkay, pumpkin. “It’s just so crazy because I spent six years of my career being called things like ‘bag of milk’ on the internet,” Dunham told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this week. Okay yeah, bag of milk is rude. Nobody wants to be called a bag of milk, probably.

Some people have called the writer and actress a hypocrite, because they felt like her weight loss goes against like, her whole brand. “I had this experience of my body changing and suddenly I had all these people being like, ‘you’re a hypocrite, I thought you were body positive,’” she says. “I was frustrated by it because it really was evidence that as a woman in Hollywood, you just can’t win.”

Later in the interview, Dunham put her leg behind her head and told Ellen, “You can’t do this in front of anyone without them thinking, she’s probably pretty good at sex.”

As always, Lena Dunham is her own greatest enemy.
