Why is Angelina Jolie doing damage control?

Angelina Jolie is making the rounds in support of her newest film, “First They Killed My Father,” and because promoting a film is a dirty, dirty business, she’s conveniently opening up about her messy ass divorce from Brad Pitt.

On “Good Morning America,” the 41-year-old just happened to dish on all things Brangelina. According to Perez Hilton, she said “We are focusing on the health of our family. So we will be stronger when we come out of this because that’s what we’re determined to do as a family.”

“We will always be a family,” she said. Mmhm.

Please note, she told BBC World News the same thing, saying “We are a family and we will always be a family and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”

It’s almost like she’s reading from a script!

Jolie — who has famously never had a publicist — has reportedly been discreetly seeking one, and hoping for an image overhaul. Because really, this whole thing has made both parties look pretty bad.

So yeah. Damage control.
