Thanksgiving Eve has arrived, and if you’re a skier champing at the bit — this holiday marks the official launch of the season here in the Northeast. Now, granted this all has to do with the weather gods and what they’ll bestow upon us. Good chances ski buffs’ adrenalines are starting to pump as some of our mountaintops received a significant shot of fresh powder starting this past Saturday night. The overall snow outlook for the mountains from tonight through this weekend is very much on the lighter side, and only the summit ranges will see a few more inches in total through Sunday. Ski areas will need to rely on man-made powder, as nighttime readings (in most areas) will be cold enough to fire up the snow guns.
