The Cardinals and 49ers have been two of the better teams in the league this season against the spread as the Cards are 5-3 while the Niners are 5-2.
Legal online sportsbooks in the United States are giving away millions of dollars in free money to get sports bettors away from off-shore sites. Right now you can get up to $500 in free cash by going to FanDuel.com/Metro.
San Francisco is a 10-point favorite on the road here, despite the fact that under head coach Kyle Shanahan the Niners are 0-4 against the Cards. That’s definitely something to considering when betting on this game considering that the Cardinals weren’t exactly a powerhouse in those two seasons.
That said, this seems like the game the Niners and Shanahan will break the Arizona hex.
In 2017 and 2018, Shanahan did not have Nick Bosa on defense. The sure-fire defensive rookie of the year is looking like a modern day Lawrence Taylor right now as there isn’t an offensive line in football that can handle him.

The likely offensive rookie of the year, Kyler Murray, has done a nice job in recent weeks of making his offensive line look respectable at least – thanks in large part to his scrambling ability. After bottoming out in Week 3 against Carolina, a 38-20 loss in which Murray was sacked eight times, Arizona has allowed just 10 sacks total since (an average of two per game).
It’s incredible that Murray and the Cardinals are still in playoff contention, but it should be noted that their three wins this season didn’t exactly come against the NFL’s elite. The Cards’ three victories are as follows: at Cincinnati (26-23), home vs. Atlanta (34-33), and at the Giants (27-21). All of those games were close, as well.
The 49ers’ quality of opponent – overall – hasn’t been great either, but last week’s dominating 51-13 win over a decent Carolina team was a statement victory. In the week prior, many were tabbing the Niners as something of a fraud team as they only beat the Redskins 9-0 on the road. But that game was played in monsoon-like conditions, and in hindsight shouldn’t have been cause for concern.
I like the Niners to keep things rolling here and narrowly cover the sizable spread.
The play: Niners -10
